LEARN2WORK – A NEW APPROACH TO FOOTWEAR TRAINING. THIS PROJECT AIMS TO ADAPT THE METHODOLOGY FROM THE DANISH PRODUCTION SCHOOL MODEL TO ATTRACT YOUNGSTERS INTO TECHNICAL FOOTWEAR CAREERS.

Why

The number of European youngsters who neither study nor work has not stopped growing in the last decade. The so-called “neither-nor” already represent nearly 19% of the European population between 15 and 25 years, according to the recent OCDE study “The Education at a Glance 2014”.
The project goals will address two important aspects that need to be tackled: on one hand the needs to engage NEETs in an appealing training program with future career perspectives, and on the other the need of skilled workers from the footwear industry.
What target?
We will focus on the so called NEETs audience, meaning, young persons in the age of 16 to 25 who are not in Education, Employment, or Training. The target group might be up to 29 years old since in the countries where the project will be implemented these group suffers from the same problems that we have identified before, with low working opportunities.
